HSS is currently seeking an Corporate Paralegal  to support our Atlanta, GA team.
 
 
This role involves collaborating with the Company’s operations, finance, risk and HR departments in addition to working with outside counsel. Much of the time will be spent reviewing contracts and other documents, as well as performing other tasks such as updating company files.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Review, draft and manage various contracts including client contracts, NDA’s, real estate leases and asset purchase agreements. Work as needed with outside counsel and business clients.
  • Proofread, redline changes, manage document versions and perform administrative functions in connection with various legal documents.
  • Contract management, including manage aging of contracts for renewal deadlines and compliance with other terms and obligations.
  • Compile reports, coordinate projects and handle legal notices, such as subpoenas.
  • Maintain and management of confidential records.
  • Assist HR in responding to EEOC and other legal claims.
  • Oversee filings and compliance of H2B and Puerto Rico programs.  Coordinate and work with outside counsel.
  • Assist in preparation for meeting of the Board and its Committees.
  • Organizing and archiving corporate records and Board materials.
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related area.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented
  • High ethical standards and behaviors
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, teamwork and problem solving skills
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and internet recruiting
  • Knowledge and experience of legal principles, practices, research techniques, terminology and communication principles.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Working conditions
 
Work is performed in an office setting and requires the ability to sit for an extend amount of time. Work is also performs in the client location and requires the ability to drive.

  • Constant periods sitting
  • Writing and typing constantly
  • Walking frequently
  • Driving frequently
 
Visual Demands:
  • Extended hours at a computer screen
  • Must be able to read electronic documents of all types
 
 
 
Eligibility Requirements
 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to drive in the United States
