We are committed to finding and placing the best hospitality talent in the industry!  HSS is currently seeking a proven RV Resort and Marina Manager for our client in the New Orleans, LA area.   The New Orleans RV Resort and Marina is a high-end gated resort with villas for rent, restaurant and bar and guest lodge in a marina setting. The resort is located near Lake Front Airport. The company is a growth-oriented company in the consolidation of niche property types with an emphasis in the outdoor hospitality sector (aka RV parks, self-storage, and resorts and campgrounds).Position Summary:The General Manager is responsible for all the operational aspects and profitability of the property. In this role, the incumbent will plan, organize, and lead a team; serve as the day-to-day point of contact for guests, always creating a positive atmosphere and excellent guest service experience. As the GM, you are a thoughtful leader and confident decision maker, helping our talent develop and be productive while ensuring our profits are on the rise. This is a full property management position overseeing the front office, housekeeping and maintenance departments, as well as a full bar and restaurant.Key  Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to RV Resort operating principles.
    • Deliver exceptional service by responding timely to our guests and prospective guest inquiries.
    • Work with marketing to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote our brand.
    • Handle and resolve guest and resident complaints.
    • Responsible for cash handling, deposits, and proper record keeping.
    • Work with home office regarding expenditures, and vendors.
    • Coordinate team member selection, training, scheduling, and development for property staff and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and operational procedures.
    • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to quickly and effectively address issues that would adversely affect the operation of the property or guest satisfaction.
    • Enforce Property rules and standards.
    • Monitors monthly operating expenses.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations.
    • Oversees capital expenditure improvements with the guidance of ownership.
 Required  Skills/Abilities:
    • Ten years of proven experience managing operations within the hospitality industry or property management, preferably of an RV Resort and Marina.
    • AD or BA degree in business or relevant field (Preferred)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Intermediate computer proficiency including the ability to use email and the internet.
    • Ability to use MS suite of products and property management software.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Able to work independently as well as on a team.
    • Conflict management.
Physical  Requirements:
    • Constantly sit; Frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
    • Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 25
    • Ability to operate a golf cart.
    • Able to walk up and down stairs.
    • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
