Job Description

Our family of companies support industry leaders in: hotels & resorts, senior living facilities, hospitals & medical facilities, event venues, restaurants, convention centers and stadiums, colleges & universities, distribution centers, manufacturing & production facilities, and more.We are currently looking for a Shift Lead for our busy logistics partner in the Fort Wayne, IN Area.Position Summary The Shift Lead provides direction to crew in a fast-paced environment that can range from small unique sites to large sites that are over a million square feet. Responsible for meeting customer needs and exceeding customer expectations during assigned shift. Provides guidance and related instruction to the Crew, works with management to support and communicate staffing issues and or changes, ensures that services meet required Company standards, and that work is performed safely and effectively. Completes daily quality control inspections. Leads are the customers "go to" for questions, concerns and requests. Work shifts may be scheduled during business off hours including evenings. This position reports into the Zone Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following (varies by customer):
- Perform site Crew tasks and ensure Crew tasks are fully executed at site
- Interact with the client to provide professional and prompt customer service as needed
- Provide direction and task coordination for assigned Crew
- Ensure Crew members understand and are knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy
- Collaborate with Crew to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations and resolve deficiencies in a timely manner
- Maintain and observe daily schedules to ensure there is coverage for shifts; work with supervisor to resolve schedule issues
- Document and report issues regarding safety/security, building maintenance, damaged equipment, or any other pertinent issues
- Support process to request uniforms, employee badges, needed supplies, and other items
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Respond to emergencies in the evenings and weekends
- Assist Supervisor(s) to ensure buildings are fully staffed each day; fill-in for missing team members as necessary
- Assist Supervisor or Zone Manager with new hires and training
- Ensure team members have the information and tools to do their jobs effectively; provide clarity and support team members success
- May assist Supervisor or Zone Manager with interviews and training
- Motivate crew; interact regularly with crew members to provide support and clarity, and lead by example
- In Market sites:
- Disassembles and sets up all production equipment, cleans all equipment using COP and CIP systems, verifies the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipment, puts away production and sanitation materials, drives material handling equipment, monitors/tests chemical concentration of all CIP systems
- Maintains CIP Chart Recorders
- Documents necessary information on charts and CIP logs
- Takes inventory of sanitation supplies
- Uses bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems
- Responsible for performing tasks according to the plant Master Cleaning Schedule
- Responsible for basic troubleshooting of all Sanitation equipment
- Trains new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental Operations
- Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines
- Operates Rich's SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork
- Will be required to train in other areas of the plant as required by the Skillblock program, which may include: Valve and Pump PM program
- Good understanding of janitorial/building maintenance procedures and related safety requirements
- Tool and machine maintenance including basic break/fix procedures
- How to meet general customer expectations

- General company policies and procedures and related safety standards
- For Amazon Market locations, must be proficient on Rich's SCADA system

- 1 year experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Must successfully pass background check and may be required to pass a drug test depending on the location being serviced; in healthcare settings, drug test is required
- In health care settings, required to maintain up-to-date immunizations and annual flu shots
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and bent prolonged periods of time, use hands to finger, handle cleaning equipment, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to stand on 6-foot ladders
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend in variety of temperatures areas (35 degrees) for prolonged periods - 8 to12 hours in a Distribution Center environment
- May work in facilities with moderate to loud noise levels and varying temperatures including refrigeration areas
- In healthcare facilities, may be exposed to medical waste and bloodborne pathogens
